What if people no longer took the things around them for granted, but questioned everything in detail at all times? Would that lead to a kind of overthinking? Reflecting on our own consciousness enables us to understand ourselves and our world in a deeper way. Could we, through this self-reflection, question our assumptions, beliefs, and values, and potentially change them?

Table culture refers to the way we eat our meals and how we behave at the table. It's about how we present our food, how we use our plates and utensils, and how we interact with others. In compliance with social norms, table culture can help us enjoy our meals more and feel more comfortable in the company of others. But utensils in 'you disappear' are not made to function. They are wobbly, soft, transparent and disappear. The same way people disappear when they can no longer feel comfortable in the company of others.

The series "try to control me" deals with the visibility of anxiety disorders in society. Each object in the series is made up of a component of matchsticks, which carries the risk of catching fire if not handled with great care. People with anxiety disorders sometimes struggle daily with the feeling of being at the mercy of constantly extinguishing internal fires. Flaring panic attacks, palpitations, and an increased heart rate left untreated can lead to burnout. However, every feeling can be hidden and not visible outwardly, perhaps just like a piece of jewelry that can maintain the appearance through its exterior.
