Nora Reitelshöfer’s works move between jewelry, sculpture, and object art, questioning societal norms, the construction of identity, and the functionality of objects. Materials such as silicone, porcelain, potassium chlorate, and sulfur are transformed—often combined with familiar, everyday forms—into pieces that make the familiar appear strange and playfully challenge the boundaries between function and irritation.
Her objects create an immediate emotional connection with the viewer and invite reflection on intimacy and socio-political themes. This is emphasized by works that are either worn directly on the body or express corporeality through their formal language. With a minimalist, clear aesthetic and a conceptual approach, Reitelshöfer opens up new perspectives on the relationship between humans and objects.
