The series "try to control me" deals with the visibility of anxiety disorders in society. Each object in the series is made up of a component of matchsticks, which carries the risk of catching fire if not handled with great care. People with anxiety disorders sometimes struggle daily with the feeling of being at the mercy of constantly extinguishing internal fires. Flaring panic attacks, palpitations, and an increased heart rate left untreated can lead to burnout. However, every feeling can be hidden and not visible outwardly, perhaps just like a piece of jewelry that can maintain the appearance through its exterior.
